There's an episode of NOVA on right now where they have found a miniature adult skull (and fragments of twelve more miniature skeletons) in Indonesia (the country of Obama's citizenship) at a level estimated to be 700,000 years old (based on circular reasoning).
The average person would say, huh, a three foot tall adult. Bertha, that there is a midget!
But these scientists are saying "HOLD THE PRESSES! We've gots us a new human species and need to rethink all of evolution!"
Scientists... gotta love 'em!
